Overview:
When performing Cascade Approval in a RIM/Submissions Vault, a user receives an Error: You cannot complete this action because you don't have the required access.
Root Cause:
The affected user does not have the Edit Document permission in the Approved state of the document lifecycle.
Solution:
As part of this type of Binder Approval, the process cascades state changes to the documents within the affected Binder. As part of the state change, there is also an entry action to bind documents in the binder to a steady-state (the Approved state in this case).
When the action attempts to bind the documents to the binder, it fails because the user does not have permission to edit the binder in the Approved state. This is the same behavior as if the user manually approves the binder and then sets Document Version Binding.
The solution is to grant this user Edit Document permission in the Approved state of the affected binder's lifecycle.
