Question #1: What file types can be supported?
Question #2: What is the maximum size per file?
Question #3: What is the maximum size per folder (Maximum number of files and Maximum upload capacity)?
Question #4: What is the maximum size of the entire document (Maximum number of folders and Maximum upload capacity)?
File type and size restrictions are set and governed by Salesforce for both files, attachments, and documents.
Question #1: There is no limit. As described in the Salesforce help below, to prevent users from uploading files that can pose a security risk, select Don't allow HTML uploads as attachments or document records.
Question #2: The size limit for any document you upload is 5 MB. The maximum size for a custom-app logo is 20 KB. It is possible to expand to 25 MB at the request of the customer.
Question #3: There were no particular restrictions on this.
Question #4: There is currently no upper limit on the number of folders that can be created for documents.
However, if a large number of folders is created, there is a concern that management of these folders becomes more difficult. Example: It may be difficult to find the target folder.
It is, therefore, recommended to keep the number of folders to the minimum number necessary. Also, uploading to a document means it is counted as file storage for the organization. So, it is possible to reach the contracted file storage capacity.
