Overview:
In a report of Workflow with Document report type, the Task Duration returned as 5.89 days. However, the task is assigned and completed on the same day. Why is the Task Duration calculated incorrectly?
Root Cause:
Task Duration is the amount of time between task creation and task completion, not the time period between task assignment and task completion.
Based on the audit trail of this document, the task is actually created on 4/6/2021. User A accepts and completes the task on 4/12/2021. Hence, the task duration is calculated between 4/12/2021 9:49:26 AM EDT (Task Completion) and 4/6/2021 12:17:35 PM EDT (Task Creation), which is 5.89 days.

Solution:
Users can add the Task Creation Date column in the report and validate the Task Duration by checking the Task Creation Date and Task Completion Date.
