Question:
Why are users redirected from a Data Change Request page when editing or creating Addresses or Child Accounts?
Answer:
When a user is trying to edit or create a Child Account or Address on an Account, and they are expected to create a Data Change Request in order to do so, the expectation is that the user will be directed to one of the following VisualForce pages:
- Edit_Address_DCR_vod
- Edit_Child_Account_DCR_vod
- New_Address_DCR_vod
- New_Child_Account_DCR_vod
- New_Parent_Account_DCR_vod
If the user is redirected instead to the standard Edit page for Addresses and Child Accounts, this could be due to the Account's record type being included in the CRM_MANAGED_ACCOUNT_TYPES Veeva Message.
Child objects of Accounts will be excluded from the Data Change Request process if the Account's record type is a CRM managed account type.
