Error: [null] is not a valid value for "checkout_type__sys" - When Running the Copy to Another Vault Action on a Multichannel Presentation in Vault

Overview:

Vault provides easy-to-use functionality Copy to Another Vault for copying a multichannel presentation binder, its slide documents, its sub-presentations, and its shared resources from one vault to another.

When executing the Copy to Another Vault action on a multichannel presentation, the following validation message appearsL

"[null]" is not a valid value for "checkout_type__sys". Valid values are "[Basic, Java Applet, Office Online, Vault File Manager, Office 365, Custom, Google Drive]".

Root Cause:

The security of the Check Out Type field is configured as Read-Only.

Solution:

An Admin needs to change the security of the Check Out Type to Hidden. Use the following steps to do so:

  1. Navigate to Admin --> Configuration --> Document Fields --> Base Document --> Check Out Type.
  2. Click the Security Overrides tab then the Edit button.
  3. Change the Default Security to Hidden.
