Overview:
The rendition of an Excel sheet has different date formatting in cells from the source document. The date formatting is also different from the Vault Locale settings.
Root Cause:
In the source file, the formatting of cells with an inconsistent format is due to the local operating system locale settings. This causes the date to be formatted differently in every country. It is formatted in US format and in the GMT +0:00 time zone on Vault renditions.
Solution:
- Open the source Excel file.
- Right-click the cell.
- Click Format Cells....
- Choose the desired date format that does not start with an asterisk (*).
All date formats starting with an asterisk change their formatting on computers with a different language and locale settings. Therefore, using them is not recommended in Vault.
