Overview:
Why are additional modules present when looking at an eCTD Submission in Archive Viewer within Vault RIM?
Root Cause:
This is caused by importing a Submission with files that are not correctly referenced in the Index.XML, if the option "Import Files Not Referenced in the eCTD XML" in Submission Archive Features is checked.
Solution:
The action to correct this depends on the following situations:
- If the extra files are not part of the submission sent to the health authority, reimport the Submission with those excess files removed. Or uncheck "Import Files Not Referenced in the eCTD XML", then reimport the same submission files, and Vault will not import the unreferenced files. It will also return warnings about those files.
- If the wrong Index.XML file was accidentally used, reimport the submission with the original Index.XML that includes the file paths for these files.
- If the original Index.XML has errors or for some other reason does not have these file paths, and the files were included in the original submission, then it is expected for the unreferenced folder to appear this way in RIM Archive Viewer.
