Answer:

A Picklist Dependency relationship in Vault cannot exceed three levels. The Product team has confirmed that there is no option to override or edit this limit.

Attempting to exceed this limit results in the following error message:

Field [field name] is part of a picklist dependency relationship that is greater than 3 levels.
