Question:

Can a user choose which parallel task to complete first in OneWorkflow?

Answer:

Some document workflows include parallel tasks that are assigned to the same user.  When this happens, Vault does not always allow the user to choose which of the parallel tasks to complete first.  In workflows with only one document, Vault shows all of the parallel tasks as available to complete on the user's homepage.  In this scenario, the user can choose which task to complete first. 

However, in workflows with multiple documents in the document envelope, Vault shows only one of the parallel tasks on the user's homepage at a time.  In this scenario, the user must complete the first parallel task before being given the option to complete the next parallel task.  Because all parallel tasks are assigned at the same time, Vault asynchronously selects the task that appears first for the user to complete.
