Overview:
Users can complete a workflow task or user task from the All Tasks or My Tasks page by clicking Complete.
For document tasks, instead of Complete, it sometimes shows Continue. If users click Continue, they are navigated to the document detail page to click Complete.
Why does Continue show for the tasks? How can Continue be changed to Complete?
Root Cause:
Continue shows for tasks because the Complete task without viewing the item option in the task configuration is not selected.
Solution:
An admin can follow the steps below to enable the option.
- Navigate to Admin --> Configuration --> Workflows --> [Workflow] --> [Task].
- Select the Complete task without viewing the item option.
Once the option is enabled, it shows Complete for the tasks.
