Overview:
When Admin adds an Unscheduled type event group to the casebook by clicking add New Event button, the below error occurs. Why does this error happen?
Error: There was a failure when attempting to add the unscheduled events. No events were added.
Root Cause:
To add an Unscheduled-type event group to the casebook at least one EDC-type event group needs to first add to this casebook.
The error populates because there is no EDC-type event group configured for this Study.
Solution:
To resolve this issue, at least one of the event groups configured for this Study needs to be an EDC-type event group. Admin who has the right permission(eg. Study Designers) can add a new EDC-type event group to this Study or update the existing Unscheduled-type event group to EDC-type.
Admin can follow the below steps to update the existing Unscheduled-type event group to EDC-type:- Navigate to Studio --> Schedule for the Study.
- Click the Event Group Label section header to access the Properties panel of the target Event Group.
- Click Edit then change the Event Group Type to EDC.

Optional: Choose to select the Repeating checkbox to make the Event Group a repeating one.
