Question:

What is the file retention period for files on the FTP Server in Vault?

Answer:

There are two separate File Retention Periods depending on how the data was loaded to the FTP Server:

• If a User extracts files/folders from Vault, the files will remain on the FTP Server for 72 Hours before they are deleted.
  • Loader extracts are seen as user uploads to the Staging Server and are not subject to the 72 Hour retention period. 
• If a User uploads files/folders directly to the FTP Server, they will remain for 1 Year before they are deleted.
