When should CRM VMobile Object Configuration (VMOC) functionality be activated?

Can you please explain the functionality of standard object: VMOBILE Object Configuration. When should it needs to be activated or deactivated from a Business perspective?

Thank you in advance.

    Hi Sandrine,

The VMobile Object Configuration (VMOC) object controls the objects and the records within those objects that should be synced down to the offline device such as the iPad or Windows Modern device.  This object essentially defines the sync rules.

Some more information regarding this VMOC object can be found in our online documentation here: https://crmhelp.veeva.com/doc/Content/CRM_topics/General/Sync/VMOCs.htm

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    -Steph

    Hi,

You can create a VMOC record for object and define where clause conditions as well, so that the records which meet the where clause criteria will sync down to offline device when user perform sync.

you can create multiple records with different where clause conditions for one object by selecting different profiles. also if you want to allow all profiles to follow the common data then create one VMOc record and do not select any profile, so that this rule would applicable for all users across all profiles.

     Thanks,

    Madhu
