Hello, thank you for your request!

Let me see if I'm understanding your request correctly:

Document A is related via the "Related Reference" relationship to Document B, which is in a different lifecycle.

    Document B expires.

You want to send a notification to a role on Document A, right?

We have a feature planned for 18R1 (April 2018) that is designed to do exactly that!

    when Document A expires.,

I want to send notification to Document B owner saying that.. you are related reference document is going to expire that is A document.

To use a more real example:

    • A Promotional Piece document contains claims that have to be backed up by Reference documents.
    • There is a relationship from the Promotional Piece document to the Reference documents that back up its claims.
    • If one of those Reference documents expire, the proposed 18R1 feature would be able to inform the owner of the Promotional Piece document that one of its References has expired.

I don't think I understand why you would also want the Reference document's owner to be notified if any related Promotional Pieces expire.

Could you please expand on why that would be necessary? Thank you!

Thanks for the explantation. That's what we need , We need to notify the parent document owner , when one of the related document is expires. we will wait for the release to happen :)

Whether it is auto enabled or configuration change?

This feature will require you to configure a Job Operation in admin, but there is no feature flag you need to enable.
