Can Content Packages be uploaded as Binder through Vault API?

Is there any way to upload contents of the source data in the  form of packages (containing binder + section+ content) along with a metadata file  as BINDER into Veeva Vault ?

Currently in vault API we have separate APIs to create binder first, next section and then move docs but no API is there with package in binder structure/format.

Could you please let us know if there is a possibility to upload the content packages as binder into vault. Also if the above scenario is not possible then does a workaround exist for the same.

    Hello Priya,

There isn't any way to upload packages as Binders into Vault.

You can create Binder Templates in the UI or API with the sections configured to reuse.

API Reference: API Create Binder From Template

    Best,

    Hello Aaron,

Thanks for your response. We have few queries for which we need clarifications from Veeva end.  Can you please provide your responses at the earliest?

Your response  would be of great help to our analysis.

    1) Can you please confirm if the Multichannel loader Menu will be available ONLY if the Vault PromoMats has an integration enabled between CLM/CRM ?

    2) Can we use multichannel loader to upload documents of any type or is the multichannel loader option is allowed ONLY to upload docs in Multichannel presentation and mutlichannel slide doc types alone?

    3) Can we pass the document status field (status__v) along with the other fields in the input metadata csv file for multi-channel loader to have the contents    uploaded as APPROVED(steady state) directly instead of DRAFT status without changing the Lifecycle Configuration? Is it possible? Any other option suggested for this?

We have checked the Vault help site where the input fields to be passed for the multichannel loader csv file doe not specify any status__v field in it. (refer the '      CSV columns' section in http://vaulthelp2.vod309.com/wordpress/applications/promotional-materials-edition/using-the-multichannel-loader/ ) .

    Regards,

    Priya

    Hi Priya,

The Multi-Channel loader Is specifically only for CLM.

Only CLM presentations (binder) and slides (document) are able to be loaded.

    Regards,

    Aaron
