Using conditionals in Approved Email

I would like to use a conditional in an email, for example I would like to display text depending on the value of gender.

I can see this is possible in Salesforce and I suspect it's possible in Veeva but my syntax is not quite right. Can anyone help?

    Hello,

    Conditionals in Veeva Approved Email is not possible. Using a picklist with the  {{customText[options]}} token is an option for gender-specific greetings. For other token options, please check our guide here.

    Thanks Jeff - that's what we are doing now but it doesn't allow the rep the possibility of sending emails to a few accounts at a time unfortunately. 

    It is a bigger problem for our non-English speaking clients.
