When using product metrics it is not possible to have dependent metric picklists for different products and/or metrics. I have multi product teams that have adoption ladders for different products but the values in the adoption ladders are completely different for each product. Also, the adoption ladder values are dependent on another product metric (targets).
PRODUCT A ADOPTION LADDER: Expert, Trial User, Non-User
PRODUCT B ADOPTION LADDER: High Prescriber, Modertate Prescriber, Non-Prescriber
PRODUCT A & PRODUCT B TARGETS: A1, A2, A3
For Product A adoption ladder I may only want to have the first two options visible for Product A A1 & A2 targets and the last option for A3 or non-targets. Product B could follow something similar
In Product Metrics on the Account page layout I would like to have Product A adoption ladder as a metric but only visible to against Product A and likewise for Product B along with the rules about visible options according to target status. I would like to avoid the possibility of selecting the wrong product/adoption ladder values.
Currently I am managing this outside of product metrics through separate fields and dependent picklists but it means users having to edit records whereas Product Metrics is easier to update and has a better user experience.
In the Metrics Configuration record I can select the account record type to which the metric will apply and it would be great to be able to have additional options including which product I might want to apply the metric to and whether there are any other rules.
