Hi Veeva Team,
We are using document lifecycle change function on some doc subtypes. But have a request regarding current limitation.
Even if we change the document lifecycle(ex. Draft to Approved -> Initial to Final), previous created document`s actual lifecycle (which means already existing in QualityDocs before change the doc lifecycle) is not changed. Only newly created documents lifecycle could be applied for new lifecycle.
We have a situation here. If there are only few documents in that doc type, we can just obsolete or delete the document and upload again with new lifecycle.
But, If the doc type has over 10,000 documents, we can not upload again...
Therefore, we are requesting for option regarding changing existing documents lifecycle when the document type`s lifecycle is changed into new one. Thus, when user revise the existing document, the new version will follow the new document lifecycle without re-upload activities.
Please let me know if you have more questions and need more information for this request.
