This would be extremely beneficial. We would love the ability to create QTD time periods that we would modify each quarter.

Hi There, This is an interesting idea, however allowing the flexibility of creating your own time periods can add complexity to the underlying query. What if we broaden the list of available time periods, to include more options? You will still be able to configure the ones that are relevant for your business so that you won't see each and every option. Thanks, Lizette

We would very much like a quarter-to-date time period but it would need to be based on the data date rather than the actual date (i.e. the weekly data is two weeks behind and the monthly data is ~5 weeks behind). However the definition of that quarter varies based on what IMS/our company determines to be the beginning of the quarter. Also, we would like to see a current week option to use for the weekly data. Lastly, our fiscal year starts on 4/1 so being able to set-up our own YTD time period would be helpful. At the end of the day, it would be optimal to allow customers to define custom time periods so that we can ensure it's accurate for our business.

Our company as many countries who needs trimesters, not quarters. It would be of great benefit if we could define our time periods as trimesters as an option (i.e., Jan - Apr, May - Aug, Sep-Dec.

Thanks Brian. We currently have a road map item to be able to configure time parameters such as the start of fiscal year. I will include configuring "to-date" periods to this item as well.

Hi, I wanted to follow up on the topic around time periods and understand more in depth the use cases for aggregating the data over different time periods. I would like to start with a few questions: 1) For QTD aggregations, what would would be your primary source of data - the weekly or the monthly data? 2)For calculating a QTD period, what would determine the end date of that specific quarter period - the data date or end of most recent month/week? 4) If data were to be aggregated quarterly or on 3 month period basis for instance, what would be the most appropriate comparison period - period-to-period, or previous year Quarter period? 5) Lastly, what periods are you currently using most frequently? Are you using more frequently the weekly or the monthly data?

Also would like option for YTD this year vs. YTD Last year.  Currently we only have Rolling Time Period concept.  Are large portion of our customers need to see last year's orders vs. this year's orders to see how they are trending towards last years goals.
