Tasks on iRep

It would be great if iRep would support tasks. You can add follow-up tasks as part of the Call in iRep, but afterwards they are gone. So how about a task list for my tasks and delegated tasks on iRep?

    I have just had a rep ask me this, so if it is planned, it would be really good to know any timelines for when it may be implemented?

    Please allow display of related lists for Tasks (Open Activities and Activitiy History) on all detail pages. We need this in particular for Accounts and Medical Events.

    Hi Arpad, 

    my client is already using call follow up tasks as the reps often have some do to's for backoffice or medical to delegate. However, it is impossible for them to check the status of these tasks offline, e.g. as part of next visit prep because it is not visible at all at iRep Account level, and switching to online mode is often not possible.

    There is now an initiative to extend collaboration of reps and backoffice to technicians who handle the medical devices installed in hospitals and practices (this BU is currently looking for a tool and Veeva seems a good fit). Ideally we can extend the task module for this as well because the home page tile is quite useful to remind you of what to do. However there is no chance to have 360 degree account view that would be crucial for that kind of collaboration.

    Similar requirement is in the area of marketing collaboration where we'd like to stronger involve the marketing department in Veeva which, among others things, would require to use tasks related to medical events. Online functionality will work very well, however offline does not provide the necessary insights for the reps in the field.

    To summarize, my client is looking for a flexible module to link to do's to Accounts, Calls and Medical Events (maybe more in the future), delegate them to responsible departments and track progress of task fulfilment.

    Hi Kristin,

    Thank you for the explanation, as I understand from your summary you are already using the Home Page widget for Tasks offline to list all Tasks for the current user.

    In order to have a similar overview filtered down on the HCP level and provide a dashboard for Tasks related to an Account, I'd suggest to take a look at our MyInsights Account reports. Our out-of-the-box reports can be freely and easily modified according to your needs to expose this information related to the currently selected Account, which can give that quick 360 overview on Account related Tasks for end users.

    Of course you could just as easily aggregate the Tasks based on what they are related to (may it be a Call or a Medical Event) even on the Territory level, using the Home age entry point for MyInsights and be able to visualise the progress as well.

    Hi Arpad,

    we were already thinking about the reports. However they are just informative. We'd need to actively work with tasks, e.g. re-assign and accessing detailed information. So unfortunately the reports do not fulfill this need.

    Thank you for the feedback. We are continuosly working on enhancing MyInsights with additional capabilities and I think you'll be happy to hear that we are looking into providing you with the ability to be able to directly navigate to certain parts of the application and also access records for detailed information. That option combined with our upcoming Sunrise UI and real-time architecture is going to provide you with several new ways to better support these requirements on mobile devices as well.
