Disable Navigation Bar on CLM

Dear Veeva Team,

I have a request from 2 clients to hide the Navigation Bar when doing presentations on CLM - iRep. Basically, they do not want to give sales reps the ability to choose the next slide, just follow the predefined order.
Please, let me know if you think that is possible.

Regards,

Andriu Urbina

Hi Andriu, Thanks for your idea. Currently, this can be done with some custom html coding and utilizing hidden presentations to prevent the reps from skipping around, but I realize that it takes a lot of work to set up content in this manner. I have this under consideration as a product enhancement for a future version of our product. Regards, Cindy

Hi there, Sorry for the misunderstanding. There is no custom coding to achieve hiding the navigation bar. The work around which I mentioned above involves separating each slide into a separate presentation, marking the presentation as hidden, and then utilizing our CLM Javascript Library to custom code the navigation between the hidden slides. ~Cindy

Thanks Cindy for clearing that up, we have successfully utilized your suggestion. Will having code for hiding the navigation bar be a option in the near future? Regards, Jon

Hi Jon, This enhancement request is under consideration with no target release version. Most likely, it won't be code to hide it, but some sort of setting that can be configured. Regards, Cindy

This maybe a related question, so I'm going to ask it here.

If the Reps can make custom sets of slides, how to do we let the slides know what set they are a part of and what other slides are available?

Predictably, our clients want to the nav to adapt the situation, only presenting nav options that are available in the custom set that the current slide is a part of.

How do I avoid having a bunch of broken nav links when the Rep makes a custom set of slides?

    Thanks!
