Allow for walk-ins (un-planned attendees) for Medical Events

We need to allow for walk-ins (un-planned attendees) in the Medical Events Sign in sheet. We would like to be able to type in a name and credentials and then record a signature for the person. This name will be stored in a temporary area for us to formally add to our system later.

    Hi Guy,

    We've built a module in our Events Management product to cover capturing walk-in attendees digitally and on paper, reconciling these walk-ins to accounts in CRM or Veeva OpenData, and logging expenses against walk-ins for submission to SAP Concur. You can read more about these capabilities here

    We do not have plans at this time to include these capabilities in the legacy Medical Events module in Veeva CRM. The Medical Events module will be maintained and supported, but future investment is focused on Events Management.

    We've had a similar need before for Medical Inquiries. How do you allow an iRep user to record a Medical Inquiry for an HCP that is not available in their aligned Accounts?

    Thanks for your feedback. We are planning on tackling the medical event walk-in scenario on our digital signature screen, although this is not currently targeted to a specific release.

    Beth - on the topic of medical inquiries from accounts that don't exist in the user's system, there is currently no good way to tackle this in Veeva CRM because medical inquiries are account-centric. How common is this scenario and how are reps dealing with it today?

    What a timely question!  I've been asked again recently at my current organization to find out if Veeva can be used for MIRFs when the HCP is not already in our universe.  Currently we use another vendor at conferences because we can't use the iPad app.  And management would like all digital MIRFs to be captured in one system so the question about Veeva capabilities has raised again.  Do you know approximately where this feature is on your roadmap?  2016?  2017?

    It is not currently on our roadmap, but I would like to understand the use case a bit more. Could we set up time to discuss this?
