Why are users prompted with the error 'Error saving note: Document has been updated. Please refresh page and try again.' when trying to add an annotation or edit a bookmark immediately after document creation in Vault?
Answer:
When the document is uploaded by the user, the document's initial rendering is displayed immediately. In the background, Vault is still processing the OCR rendition of the file. If Vault completes the OCR rendition before the user tries to save a comment or edit a bookmark, they will be prompted with the error, 'Error saving note: Document has been updated. Please refresh page and try again.' The user's view is no longer current and they will need to refresh the page to view the new OCR rendition before submitting an annotation.
If the user creates a comment or edits a bookmark before the OCR rendition is complete, the note will be saved and persist in the new version once processing is complete.
