Question:
After the Impact Assessment with the Regulatory type in Quality is created, the corresponding Event record is also created in RIM based on the connection automatically. Is there a way to de-link the Impact Assessment in Quality and the Event in RIM?
Answer:
There are two ways to accomplish to de-link the connection.
First method: Cancel the Change Control in Quality and start over. This cancels the RIM Event and allows users to start over Then, users can then create a new change control.
Second method: Cancel the regulatory Impact Assessment individually. The user needs to follow the steps below:
- Manually cancel the Event in RIM.
- Clear out the fields rim_event_guid__v on both the Quality Event and Impact Assessment objects in Quality. This prevents the connection from trying to sync data.
- Clear out the change_event_guid__v, impact_assessment_guid__v, and related_change_control_number__rim fields on the Event object in RIM.
- Cancel the regulatory Impact Assessment in Quality.
