Question:

How to change the lifecycle within the same Document Type in PromoMats and Medical?

Answer:

Reclassify permission is needed to perform this action.

Multiple Lifecycles might be available for one Document Type.  When a document's Lifecycle must be changed keeping the same Document Type, Subtype and Classification, the user can either Make a Copy and start over with a new document, or try the below workaround:

 

Note: The Document Number might change in the process if it's based on the Type, Subtype or Classification. If it based on any other information like Country or Product, it won't change. 

Reclassify twice as a workaround to amend the lifecycle of a document:

1. From the General section in the Information tab, click Reclassify.
   
   
   
    
2. From dropdown menu, select a different Subtype/Classification in the same Document Type.
   
   
    
3. The system shows a warning message every time a document is reclassified.
   
   
    
4. Complete the mandatory fields (in yellow) if necessary and click Save.
    
5. Once completed, click Reclassify again and select the correct Document Type, Subtype and Classification.
    
6. When completing the mandatory fields, select the correct Lifecycle and click Save.
