What is an Unclassified Document in PromoMats and Veeva Medical?

Answer:

When uploading a new file to Vault, there is an option to Classify documents later or Classify documents now. If the option to Classify documents later is selected, the document will be marked as Unclassified.

Unclassified documents are automatically assigned the Unclassified Document Type and the Inbox lifecycle.  When creating unclassified documents, you can leave required fields blank, but they must be filled in when reclassifying them to a different document type.  

Once a document is marked as Unclassified, it will appear in the Document Inbox. This view is accessible only in the Library tab and displays all unclassified documents you have access to. While these documents are visible in other views, you must open the Document Inbox to select and classify multiple documents. Unclassified documents are only visible to their owner and administrators.
