Question:

Why a user cannot start a workflow in PromoMats and Veeva Medical? 

Answer:

There are multiple reasons why a user cannot start a workflow: 

1. The document is checked out and is required to be checked in.
   
   
   
   
2. The document is in the middle of a Collaborative Authoring session. Users need to cancel the session.
3. The document is in the middle of an active workflow. There can only be one active workflow at a time. 
   
   
   
   
4. The user does not have permission to start a workflow. 

NOTE: If a user does not see the action, even if the permissions are enabled, please check with Support.
