Question:
Why does a Video not upload in Vault?
Answer:
When Vault is having issues rendering a video file, the screen displays "Error" or "Waiting" while loading or "Error Transcoding Video":
The video must meet the following requirements:
File size: up to 4GB. For attachments, up to 2GB.
Format: ASF (.asf), AVI (.avi), MPEG (.mpg, .mpeg), MPEG-4 (.mp4), QuickTime (.mov, .m4v), WMV (.wmv)
Title: It must not contain special characters such as -, ñ, &, `, ä, å, ç, ê, æ, etc,...
When a video takes more than 20 minutes to load, it can be due to two reasons:
- The Wi-Fi connection is poor: turn off other devices using the same network, pause any streaming happening in another tab, or ask a colleague in a different location to try uploading the video from their end. For this, you can also delegate access to your profile.
- Vault server is busy due to multiple users trying to upload files at the same time: please upload one video at a time and close other Vault tabs. Refresh your browser and then then Re-Render.
If the issue persists for more than an hour, please contact Veeva Support.
