How to Locate the Connected Veeva CRM Org ID(s) in the Graphical User Interface (GUI) of Veeva Vault and Veeva Align?
Answer:
The steps and sections in both products are nearly similar, however, their purposes and logic are not to be confused. For this reason, both sections of both products are explained in this article.

In Veeva Vault, connected CRM Orgs are stored in the CRM Org object. In the event, the CRM Org records were set up. They are not created automatically by the CRM Integration. They need to be created by Vault System Admins or Vault Owners.
There are two ways to locate the CRM Org connection(s) in this case.
As a Vault Owner or System Administrator (preferably):
- Navigate to Admin --> Business Admin --> In Components type All CRM Orgs. The 18-Character CRM Org ID may be configured to display in this list:
Clicking one of the records shows its record detailing page:
- In the Vault UI, navigate to the CRM Publishing tab. The CRM Org IDs can be retrieved from this page.
Note: The security profile of the end-user must have the Multichannel Loader permission in order to access the CRM Publishing tab. By default, this permission is only available to end-users with the System Admin or Vault Owner security profiles.
In Veeva Align, connected CRM Orgs are stored in the Veeva CRM Org object. When the Align-CRM connection is set up in the Integrations --> Align Integrations tab, the Veeva CRM Org record gets created automatically. There are two ways to locate the CRM Org connection.
As a Vault Owner:
- In the Vault UI, navigate to Integrations --> Align Integrations.
- Under the Veeva CRM section, click on the name of the Veeva CRM Org.
- Navigate to Admin --> Business Admin --> In the COMPONENT field, type: Veeva CRM Orgs. The 18-Character CRM Org ID may be configured to display in this list:
Ultimately, both of these options lead to the same page, where the 18-character CRM Org ID can be found:
- The pieces of Vault Help Documentation mentioned below also have references to the CRM Org object.
- The security profile of the end-user must have the Multichannel Loader permission in order to access the CRM Publishing tab. By default, this permission is only available to end-users with the System Admin or Vault Owner security profiles.
- The align__aln::xxxxx Veeva CRM Org record is not relevant, they are created when the Align instance gets cloned or refreshed.
- The presented data and configuration are not customer-specific.
