Overview:
When users try to obsolete a document, the following error occurs:
Document XX could not be updated due to the following error: XX role must contain users. Add users to continue.
Root Cause:
There are no users included in the XX document role.
In the Obsoleted status of the lifecycle, the Entry Action rule, Retire or Assess Impact on Training Requirements, is configured.
As part of the configuration for the Retire or Assess Impact on Training Requirements entry action, the admin is asked to provide an Application Role that defines who the task should be assigned to.
This entry action reads if there is an active user in the corresponding Document Role, but also there needs to be an Object Role referring to the same application role present in the Training Requirement Impact Assessment object lifecycle.
Solution:
There are two ways to update the configuration:
- Users or Admins add certain users to the Document Role.
- Admins update the Retire or Assess Impact on Training Requirements entry action to reference a document role that does have users.
