Question:

Why does the Update Training Assignments job not generate Training Assignments after the Training Material is moved to the appropriate state in Vault?

Answer:

This can occur when the Training Material is the last component of the training path to be moved to the appropriate state for Training Assignments to generate and, therefore, after the Training Requirement was moved to the Ready for Use state. 

If the Update Training Assignments job runs when the Training Material is not in the Steady State or Ready for Training state and the Training Requirement is in the Ready for Use state, the Update Training Assignments job log contains the following message:

• Document in incorrect state (i.e. not in the or state types)

If the Training Material is moved to the appropriate state, the Update Training Assignments job does not pick up the Training Requirement in subsequent jobs that run and Training Assignments are not issued. 

Resolution:

• Move the Training Requirement to the Initiated state
• Move the Training Requirement back to the Ready for Use state
• Allow the Update Training Assignments job to run
