What video file formats can be uploaded to PromoMats and Medical?

Answer:

Vault creates an MP4 format Rendition file for each uploaded video file.

The supported formats are:

• ASF (.asf)
• AVI (.avi)
• MPEG (.mpg, .mpeg)
• MPEG-4 (.mp4)  Note: Unprotected
• QuickTime (.mov, .m4v)
• WMV (.wmv)

Other considerations:

-Videos length must be within 2 hours to experience Video Playback. When longer, the video will upload as Source File but Vault won't create a Viewable Rendition. A different Viewable Rendition can be uploaded manually.
-Vault does not play videos embedded within text files, the embedded videos are flattened within the Viewable Rendition. A different Viewable Rendition can be uploaded manually.
-For an optimal experience with Video Playback, it is recommended to keep the following video profile:

Frame Rate: Up to 60 FPS
Bitrate: Up to 8 Mbps
Resolution: Up to 1440p or 2K

Vault also renders the below animated images as videos:

• GIF (.gif)
• AVIF (.avif)
• HEIF (.heif)
• HEIC (.heic)

• WebP (.webp)
