Question:
How to establish an Engage connection using the Share Engage Invite Link option?
Answer:
If an HCP does not have the Veeva Engage App installed on their device when they first access an invite link sent by a Rep user, no connection is being created despite installing the app after clicking the Engage invite URL.
Per a current limitation, it is not possible to carry the connection through the app installation process.
This is a one-time inconvenience that can be bypassed using a certain method and flow to create Engage connection between a Rep user and an HCP:
- Navigate to the HCP as a Rep user in Veeva CRM.
- Click on the three dots in the top right corner and select the 'Share Engage Invite Link' option.
- Copy the invite link and share it with the HCP via email.
- Access the URL from the email as the HCP.
- Open with Safari, and download the Veeva Engage App.
- Once installed, log into the Veeva Engage app as the HCP.
- Close all tabs (browser, Gmail, etc.)
- Open the invitation email and URL again.
- Click 'Default browser app'.
- The HCP is navigated to the Veeva Engage app and the connection is created.
