Issue:

Upon changing the Lifecycle State of an Align modeling project, the following errors occur:

territory_model__aln Failed to be processed. Reason: Changing lifecycle state from feedback__aln to approved__aln is not allowed.

territory_model__aln Failed to be processed. Reason: Changing lifecycle state from manager_review__aln to approved__aln is not allowed.

Cause:

This is an expected error and the expected behavior in the event there are model territories remaining in the Feedback state. This is regardless of the territory being a Rep or Manager territory. Before Model Territories can be Approved, they have to be moved through until they are in Territory Feedback Complete Lifecycle state first. 

Resolution:

Move all of the Model Territories through the Lifecycle states until they are in the Territory Feedback Complete Lifecycle state. Once their Lifecycle states are in Territory Feedback Complete, Approval becomes possible at the Project level.

Caution:

1. Do NOT Approve, Publish the child records themselves, always Approve and Publish at the Project level, meaning: Approve and Publish on the Project record. Child records will be processed automatically. Approving and Publishing the child records directly, so Model Territories and Model Field Forces may have serious consequences.
2. Do NOT change the Lifecycle States in Business Admin.
