Question:
Is it Possible to Use Approved Email Without a Sending Domain Defined in Veeva CRM?
Answer:
This configuration is not recommended. In the event the Approved Email Domain AE Setting is not populated on any AE Setting records, or the Email Domain field is not populated on the Approved Documents - the functionality tries to fall back on the domain part of the end user's email address, who sent the email.
For example in case of xyz@verteopharma.com in the event there is no Sending Domain defined in the CRM instance or on Approved Document the end user is trying to send, the functionality tries to use "verteopharma.com" as a sending domain.
This kind of configuration may result in unexpected behaviour and for this reason, It is recommended to populate the Sending Domain in the (Profile-specific) AE Setting record(s), or on the Email Templates, Email Fragments in Vault. (Email Domain field)
