Overview:
Merge PDF action on two Content Plan Items results in a placeholder being created for one of them instead of the two Content Plan Items being combined in the binder.
Root Cause:
The Published Output location for the two Content Plan Items are the same. Therefore, Vault tries to publish them with the same name or location. It does not get published correctly.
Solution:
- Inline edit the Published Output location for one of the Content Plan Items to a different value.
- Run the publish and merge again.
Alternatively, matched document tokens can be used in the template to automatically pull the matched document name or title into the published output location so the user does not have to change it inline or manually.
