Question:

Can we edit the application name for submissions in Vault.

Answer:

It's not possible to change the Application reference on a Submission. Application is the Parent Object of Submission. The Parent of a record is only able to be set when the record is first created. Once created, the reference cannot be changed. If the customer mistakenly created the submissions with the wrong Application set, they would need to inactivate or delete the Submission records and recreate them with the correct Application reference set.

To make sure this does not impact the archive as well, customer needs to remove the archives imported for the submissions to be inactivated/deleted and re-import them into the new submissions.
