Question:
Why is the Entry Criteria not being met or Entry Actions not executing on related object records?
Answer:
The Entry Criteria or Entry Action may be referencing an Object Relationship that does not match what is configured in the Related Object Sections of the Object. The example in this article is referencing the Quality Event Object and its Inbound Relationship to the CAPA Action Object.
Related Object Sections of Page Layouts reference the Object Label of the Object Relationship in the Related Object dropdown.
Entry Criteria and Entry Actions reference the Object Relationship Label of the Object Relationship in the Related Object dropdown.
If the relationship is not visible in the Relationships tab of the Object or the relationship does not match what is configured for the Related Object Section, Entry Criteria will not be satisfied and Entry Actions will not trigger.
In the example below, CAPA Actions is selected as a Related Object for Entry Criteria. However, Entry Criteria will not be met if the Quality Event record contains related CAPA Action records because the Entry Criteria is looking for a Relationship Label that does not exist on the Quality Event Object and therefore a relationship that does not match what is configured in the CAPA Action Related Object Section.
