Overview:
After uploading a Word file to Vault, many pages are truncated (e.g. 11 pages are truncated ), and an error appears in the viewable rendition: Not a valid link.
Root Cause:
The Word file contains a link to an external file that gets moved or deleted.
Solution:
To fix this and make the document self-contained, users need to remove the link from the Word file by following the steps below:
- Click the File tab, and then . This menu entry is available only if the file contains linked data.
- Select the link and click the Break link.
