Overview:
A processing failure message is being generated when attempting to sync content for Single Document Publishing.
The user followed the instructions to toggle the CLM Content field from Yes to No and back to Yes. However, the error persists.
Root Cause:
The reason the document is not being synced to CRM is because it contains images that are not supported for publishing to CRM.
The issue is with the .emf images included in the PowerPoint which are compressed when being published to CRM. As these images are of the .emf file format, they can be heavily compressed. This compression is setting off a false positive during security scans.
Solution:
To identify the files, extract the PowerPoint deck to a zip folder. The zip folder contains a media folder which displays all the images in the PowerPoint presentation.
- Right-click on the source file in question.
- Using a ZIP utility (Windows ZIP or 7 ZIP for example), extract the files into a .zip folder.
- Open the new folder that is created.
- Navigate to the Media folder and open it to view the files.
To resolve the issue convert the .emf image(s) to a different file type (e.g. .jpeg or .png) to avoid this issue as we cannot loosen security protocols.
