When reviewing the Date field (Call_Date_vod) on a Call2_vod record and its corresponding Medical_Discussion_vod record, the field displays a different date for the two records. How can this occur?
The Call_Date_vod field on the Medical Discussion is copied from the Call_Date_vod field on the Call. However, if the user changes the Date of the Call after it is created, the Date on the Medical Discussion will not automatically update.
- The user creates a Call with Date of Date A
- The user creates a Medical Discussion from this Call, which will default to Date of Date A
- The user updates the Date of the Call to Date B but does not update the Medical Discussion Date
- The user syncs the transaction online. A Call will be created online with Date of Date B and a Medical Discussion will be created online with a Date of Date A. Alternatively, the user might sync the transaction online and then update the Call_Date on the Call.
To avoid this issue, users should ensure that the Call_Date_vod field is updated on both records if any modifications are made.
