Overview:
Why the User Edited MCCP Goals are Not Reflected in Veeva CRM?
Root Cause:
The Edits to the Channel Activity Goals will not be considered during the calculations as the Goal Edit Status field of the MC Cycle Plan object is set to blank.
If the Goal Edit Status field is blank, then MCCP Goals are not editable and no changes made by the end-user will be included in the calculations. This field becomes blank when the Activate Edited Goals checkbox on the MC Cycle record is checked and after the MCCP MCE (Multichannel Engine) process runs.
Solution:
In order for MCCP Edited Goals to work please follow the steps below:
- The Admin sets the MC Cycle Plan Goal Edit Status field to 'New' (Enables the Edit Goals tab for the MCCP under My Plan on the iRep)
- The end-user updates goals on MC Cycle Plan Channel on the iRep
- The end-user saves their goals (does not select the Submit button)
Activity Goal Edit field value on the MC Cycle Plan Channel object gets updated to the Edited value from the end-user (Online)
- When the end-user selects the Submit button on the Edit Goals page on iRep, the MC Cycle Plan's Goal Edit Status field is automatically set to 'Submitted' (Online)
- The MC Cycle Plan Goal approval process determines if the Goal Edit Status field is set to 'Approved' or not
If the Goal Edit Status field is set to 'Approved' on the MC Cycle Plan object, then the Admin must set the Activate Edited Goals checkbox on the MC Cycle object to True
- This updates the Channel Activity Goals field on the MC Cycle Plan Channel object after running the MCCP MCE (Multichannel Engine) process
Note: The Channel Activity Goals on the MC Cycle Plan Channel object are only updated under the following conditions:
- MC_Cycle.Activate_Edited_Goals = 1/True
- MC_Cycle_Plan.Goal_Edit_Status = 'Approved_vod'
- MC_Cycle_Plan.Status != 'Completed_vod'
