Question:
Why is the last modified date changed for submitted Calls in Veeva CRM? Submitted Calls are appearing as updated but the user did not update the submitted Calls.
Answer:
Updates to the Account associated with the Call trigger a change in the last modified date of the Calls associated with that Account.
One common cause is that the original Account on the Call is Merged.
- When an Account merge occurs, there is an entry written to the Account Merge History object which can be used to identify if the Account is merged.
- Merging Accounts updates the Losing Account on the Call to Winning Account. When this occurs, the related Account Calls are auto-updated by Salesforce with the following fields:
- Account_vod__c
- LastModifiedById
- LastModifiedDate
- SystemModstamp
