MC Cycle Plan Interaction Goal values of an Explicit MC Cycle are not calculated in Veeva Align. By explicit MC Cycle, it is meant that its MC Cycle Plans are not generated by a Targeting rule, but by data load.
In a Modeling Project or in Production*, In the event, that there is no Targeting Rule existing on an MC Cycle, it is not the Assignment Preview process that can be used for goal recalculations but the Recalculate Territory Data option.
It is necessary to execute this option because it rolls up the Activity goals into Interaction goals.
Recalculate Territory Data - Accessed via the top-right Gear icon - will be available in Modelling projects which contain MC Cycles being in the Feedback Review state, and it will also be accessible on any Production* Field Forces which contain an active and published MC Cycle.
- By Production*, the Live environment is meant in this case, not the Modelling environment.
- In the event, that the MC Cycle is published into the Production environment, the Assignment Preview process also updates the Goal values - if a Targeting Rule is present - however, Recalculate Territory Data is still accessible and can be used for free.
Use the Recalculate Territory Data option to update the Interaction Goal values in Veeva Align. For any MC Cycles which do not have Targeting Rules but Explicit (Data loaded) MC Cycle Plans. It is recommended to run it after the Targeting Feedback process has finished. It can be run free during the Feedback Process if there is a need to have an overview of the Interaction Goal value changes.
Note: The duration of Recalculate Territory Data refresh process can take up to one hour or more depending on the amount of data. This also involves the Future Territory Alignments tab and the MC Cycle Utilization page. Changes are reflected once the refresh process finishes. This is also true of the Recalculate Territory Data process initiated by the Assignment Preview and Assignment Commit process.
It is also strongly recommended to retrieve regular backups of the most important objects concerning Feedback. For more information, see Which Object Records And Field Values are Necessary to Extract to Backup Veeva Align Project Feedback Data?
