Overview:
A report is shared with an end-user. This report is based on the User Object. When the end-user attempts to access this report, an error is displayed: Insufficient Privileges.
Root Cause:
The user is missing the SFDC permission View Setup and Configuration.
Solution:
To view a report on the User object, the user needs to have View Setup and Configuration Permission. If the user does not have this permission and that user tries to access the report on the user object, the error occurs.
To grant this permission follow these steps:
- Log into the CRM org as a System Administrator.
- Navigate to the end-user profile.
- Click Edit.
- Scroll down to View Setup and Configuration.
- Enable the View Setup and Configuration setting.
- Click Save.
- Clear Veeva Cache.
After these steps are completed the end-user is able to view the report based on the user object.
