Question:
When trying to drop samples of the same product with quantity that exceeds the Sample Limit allowance per Call, one user is seeing an error: The quantity entered [{0}] exceeds the limit quantity [{1}] for {2}.
Another user is seeing a different error: The quantity entered [{0}] exceeds the limited quantity per call [{1}] for {2}.
What controls the display of the errors?
Answer:
There are two Veeva Messages that control this behavior:
- SAMPLE_LIMIT_TEMPLATE_ERROR (The quantity entered [{0}] exceeds the limit quantity [{1}] for {2})
- SAMPLE_LIMIT_ERROR_PER_CALL (The quantity entered [{0}] exceeds the limited quantity per call [{1}] for {2})
A Sample Limit Template is used. Upon the first sample drop, it uses the SAMPLE_LIMIT_TEMPLATE_ERROR Veeva Message to display the error. After the first sync, Sample Limit records are created and any oversampling for the same product or user displays the error message from the SAMPLE_LIMIT_ERROR_PER_CALL Veeva message.
