Overview:
Error: bad value for restricted picklist: <value> when a user attempts to save a call after entering picklist values for Product Map (zvod_Product_Map_vod__c) and its dependent picklist.
Root Cause:
The cause of this is the dependent picklist is set as restricted and Product Map (zvod_Product_Map_vod__c) is not on the page layout in accordance with the proper configuration for Medical Discussions using custom picklists dependent on the Product. Dependent picklists cannot be restricted if the controlling picklist is not on the page layout. This is a Salesforce limitation.
Solution:
To resolve this issue, do the following:
- Uncheck the Restrict picklist to the values defined in the value set checkbox for the dependent picklist
- Clear Veeva Cache.
